What can a Laser do?

CO2 lasers can produce a whole range of finishes on materials, from card and paper to ceramics, plastic, leather and even stone.

As the process does not involve any actual contact with the materials, it is also ideal for use on even delicate materials, where no pressure can be applied to the surface.

Lasers are also the perfect tool for engraving and marking in fine detail on smaller components because of their precise and repeatable nature.

The process will enable line widths and spacing to be as fine as just 0.1mm.

We can also engrave on cylindrical items by using a rotary device attachment.

Sequential numbering is also possible.

We can laser engrave your goods with QR codes & barcodes, plus traceability and security markings.

The Laser Process

Lasers either vaporises the material, or it can change the surface of the material to create a contrasting result.

By managing output power, pulse rate and the speed that the laser moves over the material, the effect of cutting and engraving can be controlled with precision for each specific substrate.

Even very thin, delicate materials can be engraved or cut by reducing the power to a minimum.

On materials where the laser cannot remove the surface to acheive an engraving - a chemical layer can be sprayed onto the surface which permanently fixes to the material when the laser is fired.  The spray area that is untouched by the beam is then rinsed off to leave a permanent black impression on the surface.

It is also an eco-friendly process using only the power of  light, and is incredibly versatile at producing a unique and high-quality finish to most materials.
